twenty twelve

The first week of 2012 in review: already been sick, decided against making any resolutions, began plotting gbo’s next tour, and had the honor of being named one of the best new bands in Boston for 2012 by the Boston Phoenix (our hometown’s arts, music, and entertainment newspaper). The article alludes to some of our plans for the year (as I just did in the previous sentence) but I’d like to highlight that we’ll have a new album out by the time our northeast corner of the U.S. starts to warm up. You can download a pre-release of the song “Vanished” before the album comes out via the Class of 2012 bandcamp comp.

Attn NY’ers: we’ll see you at the Cake Shop on Saturday night.

free prize inside

If you haven’t already ordered and/or received The Only Light On then you have no idea that included in the compact disc’s case is a sweet poster (pictured below) featuring an amazing collage by our friend Karla.

Worry not if you are one of the few who have yet to get her hands on a copy of our debut for copies are readily available through the magic of the internet or in person at any of our upcoming shows.

announcing itunes availability

You may have noticed our record has been available on bandcamp.com for a little while now. This being the age we live in, however, covering as many bases as possible is a necessity, which is why we are pleased to announce Ghost Box Orchestra’s THE ONLY LIGHT ON: iTunes Availability Edition.
